Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Fundraiser by YWCA Mohawk Valley
YWCA Mohawk Valley (YWCA MV) and the Liberty Resources Help Restore Hope Center (LR HRHC) will share a collective donation of $8,242 raised by the Oneida Indian Nation through the October Purple Ribbon Campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
All proceeds will benefit both agencies’ domestic violence programs. YWCA MV provides crisis services and prevention in Oneida County, LR HRHC serves Madison County.
“We are grateful to have had the Oneida Indian Nation support our Purple Ribbon Campaign for many years,” says YWCA MV CEO Dianne Stancato. “The programs we offer are crucial and life-saving, and we are proud to work alongside Liberty Resources in providing these services to our communities.”
“Liberty Resources is honored to partner with YWCA MV to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence survivors through the Purple Ribbon Campaign,” stated Theresa Davis, Division Director for Liberty Resources. “In addition, we cannot thank the Oneida Indian Nation enough for their generosity and support of the program.”
YWCA MV holds their Purple Ribbon Campaign fundraiser annually as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This year, the campaign was minimized with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic. Paper purple ribbons were sold in select SavOn and Maple Leaf Market locations across Oneida and Madison counties.
