YWCA Mohawk Valley to Announce Salute Honorees Thursday
UTICA, N.Y. (March 22, 2021) – YWCA Mohawk Valley (YWCA MV) will host a virtual Reveal of the 2020-2021 Salute to Outstanding Women honorees this Thursday, March 25, at noon.
Salute to Outstanding Women (Salute) honors eight local women for their achievements and impact on the community and is the agency’s largest annual fundraiser. The honorees are officially introduced to the public at Salute Reveal.
“We are very excited to finally be able to celebrate these women,” says YWCA MV CEO Dianne Stancato. “They have all made a magnificent impact in our community and this honor is well-deserved. We appreciate their understanding in postponing last year, but it has been long enough! We can’t wait for you to meet them.”
Reveal will premiere on YWCA MV’s website at ywcamv.org/Salute. More information regarding the Salute awards ceremony will be published there in the coming days.
After postponing both events last spring with concerns about the outbreak of COVID-19, the outstanding women selected in 2020 will be recognized in 2021, making them the first-ever dual-year honorees. The luncheon celebration and official Reveal ceremony are typically held in-person but will be hosted in a virtual format this year.
The 32nd annual Salute to Outstanding Women Awards is presented by Baird Private Wealth Management. The virtual Reveal ceremony honorary sponsor is Valentino’s Banquet Hall. Award sponsors for this year’s event are Kristin’s Fund for Education, Staffworks CNY for Entrepreneur, Excellus BlueCrossBlueShield for Healthcare, Scalzo, Zogby & Wittig, Inc. for Human and Public Service, Adorino Construction, Inc. for Outstanding Youth, Bank of Utica for Professions/Business & Industry, Fort Schuyler Club for Social Justice, and Indium Corporation for STEAM.
