Funding to Support Clients Fleeing Domestic Violence
UTICA, N.Y. (June 2, 2022) – YWCA Mohawk Valley (YWCA MV) has been awarded $25,000 by the Utica National Group Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Utica National insurance Group. The funding will provide life-saving support for survivors fleeing domestic violence.
“We are deeply grateful to the Utica National Group Foundation for their support,” says YWCA MV CEO Dianne Stancato. “With this grant, survivors right here in our own community will have the chance to start over and build safe, happy, independent lives. We extend our sincerest thanks to the Foundation for their generosity.”
“The YWCA Mohawk Valley works tirelessly to assist survivors fleeing domestic violence,” said Bernard Turi, Chair of the Foundation’s Screening Committee and Utica National’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel, General Auditor, and Chief Risk Officer. “We are pleased that our Foundation’s grant will help the organization provide its vital services to those in need locally.”
The funds will cover both residential and non-residential assistance for incoming clients. YWCA MV offers 24/7 services that clients can access at no cost.
