Our annual Purple Ribbon Campaign will return for Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) 2021 in partnership with numerous supporters from the community.
After minimizing the campaign in 2020 with concerns related to the pandemic, we are proud to bring back this signature fundraiser for DVAM. We are now opening participation to interested businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals in the community!
Throughout October, participating sellers will offer paper purple ribbons for a suggested donation of $1 to support YWCA Mohawk Valley’s efforts to end domestic violence in our community. The ribbons will be put on display through the end of the month, creating a visual showcase of support for survivors everywhere. Awareness signs are also available for business and organizations who want to expand their displays or individuals looking to add some purple to their yard! To learn more about participation, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
More details about the campaign will be announced soon. Be sure to check this page for updates, including ways to support and participating locations!
About the Purple Ribbon Campaign
October is nationally recognized as DVAM, symbolized by the purple ribbon. All proceeds stay local and directly benefit YWCA MV’s 24-hour free and confidential domestic violence crisis services and programming.
