March with us in-person this October & help us
Take Back the Night is our biannual survivor-centered event.
We hold this event every October in observance of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Who:
Take Back the Night is free and open to the public. This powerful evening helps us remind survivors that they are not alone and honor the memory of loved ones lost to domestic violence.
What:
Our traditional Take Back the Night events include a rally, march, confidential speak-out, and candlelight vigil.
When:
Thursday, October 20 @ 6 p.m.
Where:
Utica Public Library | 303 Genesee Street, Utica
Why:
To raise awareness for the impact of domestic violence. To stand in solidarity with every person impacted, whether they decide to share their story or not. To show every survivor that we see them, we hear them, and we believe them.
YWCA MV is proud to serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Oneida County. To access our free, confidential, and 24-hour services, call or text our hotline at 315.797.7740 or visit ywcamv.org/Chat.
