Leaving a domestic violence relationship can be difficult. According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, it takes an average of seven attempts to leave before survivors are able to safely stay away.
If someone in a dangerous relationship is not ready to leave, a Safety Plan can be life-saving.

Note, it might be best to hide any written or digital Safety Plans. If the information in the plan is learned by the perpetrator, it could compromise the safety it was designed to provide.
